Röttle village
Just below Gyllene Uttern, nestled in its green splendor, lies the old craftsmen's village of Röttle.
Röttle comes from the word Rytande. The roaring rapids, with all their water power, have provided energy for various types of activities.
In the summer, you can see Rasmuskvarnen in full operation and perhaps buy some freshly ground flour. Jerusalems kvarn, one of the oldest non-ecclesiastical buildings in the country, can be seen next to the mighty waterfall. At the bottom of Lake Vättern, where the roaring rapids flow into the lake, you can get an idea of how boats once took the straight route to Visingsö harbor.
Why not take the opportunity to take a dip in the crystal-clear water?
