Along the national highway, high above Lake Vättern, the foundations were laid for what is now Gyllene Uttern – a castle on the mountain, built for people passing through, but who chose to stay. There are several hiking trails near the hotel. If you don't want to walk so far, there is a shorter loop down to Röttle village. Ask at reception and we will help you.
